As a Junior Information Security Expert, you will work closely with experienced colleagues from both, engineering and compliance and rapidly learn to navigate the data protection laws, cybersecurity standards, and all the cybersecurity aspects that need to be regarded for our platform and for the development of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD). You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the sensitive data of users.

Apps can improve people’s lives.
smartpatient was born in 2012 with this idea in mind; in particular, the idea that apps can help people take their medications as intended, leading to better health outcomes. This led to the creation of the MyTherapy app, which was designed to provide day-to-day treatment support for anyone taking regular medications and, in particular, people living with chronic conditions.
Fast-forward a couple of years and smartpatient had added to its Munich office a location in Warsaw, where the development of MyTherapy took place. MyTherapy’s user base was growing rapidly, remaining completely free of cost and ads to users. This was made possible thanks to a business model that helped smartpatient provide even greater support to those who benefit from it the most. By partnering with companies in the pharmaceutical industry, smartpatient built custom versions of MyTherapy for people living with specific conditions and taking certain medications.
